🤝 How Does Facebook Business Partner Access Work?
LaunchMeLoud
Last Update hace un mes
When your Facebook Page is owned or managed by a Business Manager account, third-party apps (like LaunchMeLoud) can't automatically access or manage that Page — even if you're an admin of it.
To enable LaunchMeLoud to publish content or fetch analytics for such a Page, the Page owner must assign LaunchMeLoud as a Business Partner in Facebook Business Manager. This relationship gives LaunchMeLoud permission to manage the Page’s content and insights.
Here’s what’s happening behind the scenes:
The Page is owned by a Business Manager
If a Page was created or transferred under a Business Manager, all control over assets (Pages, Ad Accounts, Pixels) is centralized there. You add LaunchMeLoud as a Partner
The Page owner goes to Facebook Business Settings → Pages → Assign Partner and adds LaunchMeLoud’s Business ID (which we provide) with appropriate permissions like Content Management.LaunchMeLoud gains backend access rights
Once added, Facebook grants LaunchMeLoud backend permission to manage the Page — but we still need a user to act on behalf of the business. You (the user) log in to LaunchMeLoud and authorize your account
Even though LaunchMeLoud is a partner, we use your access token (from logging into Facebook) to access the Pages you're connected to.Facebook combines both permissions
Facebook checks:
âś… Does this user have access to the Page?
âś… Has the Page granted LaunchMeLoud partner access?
âś… Does LaunchMeLoud have the right permissions approved in app review?
If all conditions are met, the Page will show up in LaunchMeLoud, and we can manage it using your access token.
Without setting up the partner relationship, LaunchMeLoud may not be able to:
List your Page in the dropdown during Page connection.
Publish posts to your Facebook Page.
Access your Page’s analytics or media content.
Even if you're the admin, you may not see your Page unless partner access is granted — this is a limitation introduced by Facebook to protect assets owned by businesses.
